The Great Lakes Commission has released it's 2011 Legislative Priorities
It's members include the eight Great Lakes states with associate member status for the Canadian provinces of Ontario and Québec.
The commission is urging congress to maintain the 2.2 billion dollar Great Lakes Restoration inititive, give Great Lakes States greater authority over how that moeny is spent, protect water quality through the Clean Water Act and to strenghten protection against invasive species to keep Asian Carp out of the Great Lakes.
