On Thursday July 25th, GBF will be hosting their annual community cut for invasive Phragmites at the Waubaushene Dock/Beach area at the bottom of Pine St in Tay Township. This event will begin at 9am and run until 12pm, though volunteers are welcome to come and go as they please.

On Thursday July 25th, GBF will be hosting their annual community cut for invasive Phragmites at the Waubaushene Dock/Beach area at the bottom of Pine St in Tay Township. This event will begin at 9am and run until 12pm, though volunteers are welcome to come and go as they please.
The work will be taking place both in water and on land along the shoreline. Equipment will be provided, but it is recommended that volunteers bring gloves, waders and/or water shoes for working in the water, along with water to drink, sunscreen, hat, bug spray and whatever else needed for working outdoors. This event is also drop-in friendly. In the event of a thunderstorm and/or heavy rainfall, the event will be cancelled and rescheduled to the following day (Friday July 26th). Cancellations (if they occur) will be posted on our website’s event page and shared through our social media platforms.
