Forever is a long time; if we hope to preserve the Bay during our lifetime and beyond, we need to respond to the critical issues in the fight to conserve our natural spaces.
Your donations go towards research, planning, and acting to achieve our shared goals of long-term sustainability and quantifiable results with regards to the quality of Georgian Bay waters.
We love Georgian Bay: its history, its beauty, its unique place in the world, and its personal meaning to all those who choose to spend time on its land and water. We know you love it too, and we hope that you'll help us care for it now and forever.
How to Donate
U.S. Donation

Monthly Giving
Monthly giving is one of the easiest and most efficient ways to support GBF, and you can do so safely and easily through our secure online donation form. Monthly giving allows us to anticipate funds and budget accordingly, putting more of your donated dollars towards core projects while reducing fundraising costs.
It's also a great way to increase your charitable giving without putting a strain on your pocketbook. We greatly appreciate each and every contribution;
your monthly gift turns ripples into waves!
More Ways to Give
In Honour and Memoriam
Give a gift in honour of someone who has made an impact in your life and loves the Bay as you do!
Make an in-memoriam gift to honour someone's life, or an in-honour gift celebrate a milestone and help protect the Bay in the name of someone special.
GBF will provide a tax receipt for your gift. As well, we will send a card or letter to the individual, family or next of kin indicating that a gift has been made from you.
Multi-Year Pledge
Your ongoing support through a multi-year gift will enable us to plan and allocate resources efficiently to achieve the highest long-range impact.
You are investing in a long-term plan to fund accredited research projects and public education to address critical issues affecting
Georgian Bay.
Legacy Gift
Legacy Giving or Planned Giving is a form of charitable giving that allows you to commit today to making a gift of any size to GBF in the future.
There are many ways to make a legacy gift. The easiest and most efficient way is through a charitable bequest. A bequest is simply a distribution from your estate to a charity through your last will and testament.
Stocks and Bonds
It is now more advantageous than ever for you to make a gift of stock rather than cash. You will receive a tax receipt for the fully appreciated value of the donation and will no longer pay any capital gains tax.
To have the shares electronically transferred from your account to Georgian Bay Forever please download the GBF securities transfer form. The receipt value will be for the price of the stock on the day GBF receives and/or sells the shares.
Two Levels of Support
Tier One: An annual donation of $1,000 for a minimum of
three years. In return, you will receive: your company logo
displayed on the hull of the Georgian Baykeeper; acknowledgement of your sponsorship in our communication materials and on our website; and, invitations to GBF’s educational events.
Tier Two: An annual donation of $250 for a minimum of one
year. In return, you will receive: your company name listed
in our newsletters, on our website, and in our Annual Report.
